Somerset Divers Dive Trip Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to activities that you undertake with Somerset Divers. By booking a Dive Trip with Somerset Divers you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.

Please take a moment to read through them so as to avoid any problems later.

Booking Dive Trips

When booking a Dive Trip with Somerset Divers we will request full payment for the trip, unless otherwise stated. This is non-refundable unless a replacement can be found for the trip. When booking a trip you will be given the date, approximate time of meeting and location. These may be changed by Somerset Divers at short notice due to logistical, sickness or weather problems, but normally we would give you plenty of notice. If you are unable to attend we ask that you give at least 72 hours notice. Whilst Somerset Divers will make every effort to replace you on the trip and refund your money, failure to do this may incur expense. It is your responsibility to ensure you are qualified, physically fit and competent enough to dive.

Dive equipment

Each diver is responsible for ensuring that they have the relevant dive equipment for a trip , Somerset Divers can hire equipment for the day, the equipment is well maintained and serviced. Dive equipment is expensive and we ask that at all times you treat it carefully. Should equipment be lost or damaged whilst in your care, Somerset Divers will ask for the full cost of the equipment.

Cancellation of a Dive Trip 

Should a course be cancelled by Somerset Divers for whatever reason then a full refund will be made. Somerset Divers has no control over trips cancelled by boat operators. Whilst Somerset Divers tries to ensure that selected dive sites are fit to dive on the day, there are occasions when on arrival at a site they have been undiveable. Somerset Divers will not be responsible for costs involved by customers in this case. 

Conduct on Dive Trips

Somerset Divers staff will be present on all boat trips and shore dive activities. Somerset Divers staff will act in a professional manner at all times. Staff will comply with the HSE Diving at Work Regulations 1997 and PADI training methods. Staff are encouraged to teach divers to become independent divers and to give free advice on training and equipment. Should you have any complaint of the standard of teaching or activity of the staff please contact me at your earliest convenience.

Customers are asked to keep appointment dates as set by Somerset Divers, failure to do so without adequate notice will incur additional expense to the customer. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask a Somerset Diver staff member. We ask that customers act in a respectful manner to other customers and to Somerset Divers staff.

Anyone thought to be under the influence of drink or drugs will not be allowed to take part in diving, this is for the Somerset Diver staff member to judge, his decision will be final and supported by Somerset Divers. This may incur additional expense to the customer.

Complaints procedure

I hope your dive trip will be a very enjoyable experience and that you have no cause for complaint as I value every customer and I would want you to return again and again. Should you feel that you do have cause for complaint please advise your instructor immediately or myself as soon as practicable.

Data protection

All of your personal details will be kept secure and not passed to any other person without your consent.
